2008 Work Day Schedule and Activities
Winter is the time to focus on BT and to work areas like that are too wet to access other then when the ground/water is frozen.
Jan. 5 and 19, Feb 2 and16, and March 1 and 15, will follow our regular 1st and 3rd Saturday schedule.
Most dates in 2008 reflect the 1st and 3rd Saturday unless date falls on a holiday or conflicts with another restoration activity. In those instances we will move the work day out one week.. The planned activity is subject to change depending on the weather, and what progress has been made on past workdays. Anytime large groups show up during buckthorn cutting seasons (Sept – early April), plans can be adjusted to have them cut buckthorn (BT) for ongoing woodland restoration. Large groups are needed to pick garlic mustard (GM) in the April to early July time.
